Lately, I have a little lack of motivation. So I had to try something new/old. After a long time I took in hands my old camera, which I received as a gift a few years ago, the Fujica ST705w and the classic Kodak bw400cn (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures). What a feeling when you smell a film and load it in the camera. Since you have only 36 shots, you’re thinking a little differently when and how you will press the shutter release button.
And then you waiting … you do not know what you’ve done, or the image is in focus, or the lighting is right. And finally you get a developed negative film… what a joy. I still remember how it used to be when you developed a negative film after traveling and then that waiting. Yes I’m old almost like my Fujica.
It’s good to have lack of motivation from time to time, if then there are those results!

beautiful pictures; somehow the old B/W looks better than the photoshop of today. Thanks

I miss the nostalgia in this process, you are so right about the smell and the mindfulness knowing you only have so many shots. These pictures turned out beautiful. 😍

What a good way to be mindful about what you are shooting – both B&W as well as film forces yo to think about what you are doing. Nice shots too!

I’ll always appreciate the gloom and moodiness of the old black & white photographs. There’s so much atmosphere to them.

Lovely photos! And I’m sure the thinking is different when you know you only have 36 shots….I think I might challenge myself to that with my regular camera; a little more mindful photography.

Theses are wonderful, especially knowing they are done on film. I loved, no cherished, my Nikon 8008. It sits in my closet. The bicycle mirror shot is fantastic. What a joy to get those photos back, you must have felt thrilled. Your talent is definitely in black and white. Bravo.

Looks very grainy for ISO 400. I like it! My favorite shots are the third from above and from the bottom.

Well done. I still have my Asahi-Pentax 35 mms. 50 years old. I’ve been wondering whether to buy a roll or two. Complicated here. Cheers

Aren’t we all? Images and pictures and visual memories are the best collection. (And cameras. I gave my father’s old Agfa to my youngest daughter. For her it’s vintage)
Cheers Tom.

I like the texture these pics have. They show time and have more character than digital ones. Still, I won’t be going that road coz it’s an awful lot of trouble and modern technology has made me lazy!! 😀 😉
