The quality of life

… is in proportion, always, to the capacity for delight. The capacity for delight is the gift of paying attention. — Julia Cameron

The next holiday is already reserved … Paris Fashion Week in September. In all this time, I have never visited Paris during the Fashion Week. I hope I manage to photograph some fashion on the street 😀
Although Paris will no longer be the same. During my trip in Warsaw, Paris changed … the roof of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris was burned. Notre-Dame de Paris is one of my favorite spot in Paris especially during Blossom Season. I just hope they will soon restore it.

So logically follow photos of Paris 😉

  1. Fabulous photos took me right back to Paris. I know the area around Notre Dame really well. Enjoy Fashion Week, it should be fabulous.

  2. In the last photo in this post really love the light and the reflections off the wet stone. Gives the image a lot of atmosphere. You are indeed right, Paris will never be the same. I will head there in a couple of weeks & was terribly saddened by the fire in Notre Dame. I ended up looking at all the shots I had made of this very fine building, when it was intact…

  3. I am so excited for you, Tom! I’ve never been in Paris for fashion week either, so I am dying to see it through your eyes. In the meantime, what a beautiful treat you’ve given us in this post. May I join the crowd of admirers in especially complimenting that last shot? What an eye you have for composition!

  4. You are so right my friend. But Paris hasn’t been the same for years. You are one person I know who will appreciate the small things and make them remind us how important it is to just stop and delight.
I’ve attended and blogged many many Fashion Weeks (Miami and New York) and it’s exhausting. Good luck with it.

  5. Nice pix again. Can you believe I had to look Plac de l’Abbé Basset on the map? I studied next door, at the Collège Sainte-Barbe the oldest school in Paris, going back to the middle ages I think. It’s closed now.
    Cheers.
