Lately, I have a little lack of motivation. So I had to try something new/old. After a long time I took in hands my old camera, which I received as a gift a few years ago, the Fujica ST705w and the classic Kodak bw400cn (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures). What a feeling when you smell a film and load it in the camera. Since you have only 36 shots, you’re thinking a little differently when and how you will press the shutter release button.
And then you waiting … you do not know what you’ve done, or the image is in focus, or the lighting is right. And finally you get a developed negative film… what a joy. I still remember how it used to be when you developed a negative film after traveling and then that waiting. Yes I’m old almost like my Fujica.

I really don’t remember when I last posted photos from Ljubljana … stupid me. But nevertheless … I travel to Vienna next Sunday for one week. Somehow I have not yet gotten euphoria because I don’t know what to expect. Everybody asks me how I hadn’t been to Vienna yet … I know, but Vienna is too close to Slovenia, and I’ve always delayed. So my next destination is Vienna!
This time I’m posting some photos from Ljubljana. I’m still photographing in Ljubljana, but less than I used to.
I’m getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin…
…was a slight disappointment for me.
Of course, I like very much French cuisine and all their dishes. But Polish cuisine … is like the Slovene cuisine. Almost nothing new … maybe because of this I felt in Warsaw like at home.
Restaurant Stolica – a beautiful terrace, friendly staff and very very good food. I think it was one of the best duck I ate… except Manchons de canard pomme sautees.
A zapiekanka… okey this is new… and delicious … like small pizza. Perfect for a quick snack.
Pork cheeks in a sauce of red wine, potato dumplings and vegetables
nothing new… but good. Restaurant C.K. Oberża.
again nothing new. It’s exactly like that Vienna steak or Dunajski šnicelj in Slovenia. But so much better and tastier. This is the best steak of kind that I ate. Normally I don’t eat Vienna steak in the restaurants. But in a month I go to Vienna, so… Restaurant Portretowa.

The idea around what is called “old Paris” is more based on fantasms than on an ancient reality.
People have some preconceptions about Paris and if what they see doesn’t meet these preconceptions they believe it’s because Paris is not anymore the same. Obviously Paris is evolving like any other cities but many of the preconceptions about what Paris was once are false.
Paris is a large city and it has been a large city for a very long time.
I love the old traditional paris cafes and brasseries, but this year I tried new ones and I was pleasantly surprised. Finally, very good coffee in Paris… Strada Café, KB Café Shop, Fringe Coffee, La Fontaine de Belleville and of course Boot Café.

I think a new Ice Age is starting… Just 25 days before I’m going to Paris. I see that even in Paris is snow today. I hope that the weather improves soon.
Before the end of the winter, some photos of Ljubljana in the snow. After a long time, we were getting a lot of snow here. And I don’t like winter, low temperatures, cloudy and short days … I can’t wait to the end of the winter. And now it’s March and tomorrow it’s supposed to snow again 😦
