Polish cuisine

…was a slight disappointment for me.

Joke!!!

Of course, I like very much French cuisine and all their dishes. But Polish cuisine … is like the Slovene cuisine. Almost nothing new … maybe because of this I felt in Warsaw like at home.

Restaurant Stolica – a beautiful terrace, friendly staff and very very good food. I think it was one of the best duck I ate… except Manchons de canard pomme sautees.

zapiekanka… okey this is new… and delicious … like small pizza. Perfect for a quick snack.

nothing new … slightly different, much bigger, but similar to Slovenian Žlikrofi. Very tasty and very different types … we have only potatoes… Restaurant Zapiecek.

nothing new… but good. Restaurant C.K. Oberża.

Kotlet Schabowy

again nothing new. It’s exactly like that Vienna steak or Dunajski šnicelj in Slovenia. But so much better and tastier. This is the best steak of kind that I ate. Normally I don’t eat Vienna steak in the restaurants. But in a month I go to Vienna, so… Restaurant Portretowa.

same story… but in a new way… and so good! It’s like Krompirjev funšterc or ocvrtki in Slovenia… Restaurant Zapiecek.

Gołąbki

I know, I know … boring but as Sarma… Restaurant Gdański, Bar mleczny.

yes, yes, yes… like Svaljki or Njoki… Restaurant Pasieka.

like Krof… although we are eaten donuts only for carnival in Slovenia in February.

This time I didn’t have the opportunity to try Zupa ogórkowa … we don’t know this in Slovenia. Something for the next year.

I walked across

… an empty land.

Kocham Warszawę

After many cities finally again a city where I feel at home… Warsaw positively surprised me in all respects. And yes, Dave was with me in Warsaw.

Warsaw or Warszawa

Have you ever thought about choosing Warsaw as a citybreak destination? To be honest, I wasn’t. What a surprise? Warsaw or Warszawa is really a beautiful city to be visited. I was totally surprised. Thanks God Adria Airways is flying directly to Warsaw from Slovenia, so it took a good hour and fifteen minutes to get there. For the first time I used Uber in Warsaw from and to the airport and works.

The city is very clean and somehow it is brings peace.  There are many city parks especially a huge park in the center of the city which is called Lazienski Park. You can find birds, squirrels, ducks, even peacocks are there. If you are going to visit the old town, you will find a monument of the world war II first before you reach the old town. Then you will found the market square, the mermaid statue, Sigismund´s column, royal castle, presidential palace, university of Warsaw, etc…. and Pałac Kultury i Nauki or Palace of Culture and Science. I heard that the Poles wanted to demolish it … I don’t know if this is true but it would really be a pity. The Palace of Culture and Science is really fit in the cityscape.

Everything was perfect streets, public transport, people, coffee except food… almost all food is like my home-made food (Slovenian food), but it was really good 🙂

Now I have a problem … to post photos from Paris (I still have a lot of them) or now from Warsaw? The first photos are from the iphone X

See you next year Warsaw…

Never to go on trips

… with anyone you do not love. ― Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast

That’s why in the last few years I’m traveling alone… only 12 days to Warsaw.

Btw… from 7.7. to 12.7. I’m on holidays in Warszawa. Is any of the locals interested in a photo walk?

Re-branding Instagram account

What does one do when they decide to focus more on a specific genre and less on what they’ve built their feed and following on? Do you keep your previous posts public so new followers get a sense of where you come from, or do you demolish your feed with proverbial dynamite and start all over? Do you ditch your old account entirely and create another one, starting the process of gaining followers all over again? Or do you try to juggle multiple accounts, all displaying a different side of your work?

Btw… 48 days till Warszawa
