Vienna

… or Wien… So I’m back and I’m editing my thoughts and feelings. I walked almost 100 kilometers in six days, which is not bad and I made around 800 photos with camera and phone.

What to say about Vienna? Like Ljubljana, of course much much bigger, it is very crowded on tourist attractions, but the next street is almost empty. And I like this empty Viennese streets early in the morning. Of course, one of the reasons for seeing Vienna was the film Before Sunrise. Unfortunately, this time I was unable to get to Friedhof der Namenlosen, because the cemetery is quite out of town. However, I managed to see some other locations and I especially liked the Kleines Café coffee shop on Franziskanerplatz and only 5 minutes from my apartment. So I could spend some time at Kleines Café … and very important coffee was good. I had an apartment on the Sonnenfelsgasse street and I could not have a better location.

I saw a lot, ate wiener schnitzel, sacher cake and wiener apfelstrudel, met with friends but I missed something … I did not feel the energy of Vienna. Maybe next time I will…

These first photos are taken with the phone.

Is not everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more? – Before Sunrise quote

The Interview

Today, I need to do my second interview, which will be published on the site NAKED CITIES JOURNAL. I’m very glad that you guys notice my photos and you like them.

This week was very difficult, I got the flu. I do not know how at this time when it’s summer. But I’m happy it happened now and not before the departure to Warsaw.

After Paris…

… I’m already at home for 5 days and I’m still not right … every time after arrival, I have a problem…  I don’t know why…

The idea around what is called “old Paris” is more based on fantasms than on an ancient reality.
People have some preconceptions about Paris and if what they see doesn’t meet these preconceptions they believe it’s because Paris is not anymore the same. Obviously Paris is evolving like any other cities but many of the preconceptions about what Paris was once are false.
Paris is a large city and it has been a large city for a very long time.

I love the old traditional paris cafes and brasseries, but this year I tried new ones and I was pleasantly surprised. Finally, very good coffee in Paris… Strada CaféKB Café ShopFringe CoffeeLa Fontaine de Belleville and of course Boot Café.

All the photos were made with the iPhone … others follow. By the way, D-70 to Warsaw … I can not wait.

Where to stay in a hotel or in a Airbnb?

Going on a trip, holidays? Awesome! One of the most important choices a traveler can make when planning their trip is deciding where to stay. There are so many accommodation options.

In all my travels I have been in hotels. In Paris I always book a hotel Ibis. For me is important room and bathroom, now also free Wi-Fi. Of course, room must be clean and not too expensive.

So what about you? Do you prefer Airbnb or hotels? What are your experiences? Is this trip solo or with a group? Do you want to feel like a traveler or like a local? Is saving money or optimizing comfort your top priority on a trip? What is important to you?Every your experience or information I will be very happy.
